I had always dreamed of opening a dog grooming business, but until a year ago, I never thought I would live to see the day.
Complications with an outpatient surgery I was faced with a 25 percent chance to live. Instead of accepting defeat, I took those odds and assessed my life.

Taking my unique measure of success, I left the ICU ordeal behind me and set my sights on my education. To acquire certification for grooming and hygiene. I took a momentary stay in California, a necessary first step toward my goal.
